[AipuWaton]HOW ARE CABLES MADE? Copper Stranded Process.

The copper stranding process involves creating stranded copper wire, also known as bunched cable. Here are the key steps:

未标题-1

Drawing:

Copper, usually in rod form, is passed through a die multiple times.

Each die has a smaller diameter than the previous one, gradually reducing the rod’s diameter to the desired size.

Annealing:

Drawing copper can make it brittle. Annealing is the remedy.

The annealing process involves heating the copper wire to a specific temperature (usually between 350°C and 600°C) and then gradually cooling it.

This restores flexibility, making the wire more pliable and less prone to breakage.

Stranding:

Annealed wires are wound onto reels.

These reels are then fed into a wire stranding machine.

The machine twists the wires around a central wire (often called the core).

The number of strands used depends on the desired gauge (thickness) of the final wire.

For instance, you might have seven or more 30 or 34 AWG (American Wire Gauge) strands.

In the past 32 years, AipuWaton’s cables are used to smart building solutions. The new Fu Yang factory started to manufacture at 2023. Take a look at Aipu's copper stranded process from video.
