[AIpuWaton] HOW ARE CABLES MADE? Manufacturing Process of Extra Low Voltage Cables.

Low-voltage cables are typically made from copper or aluminum and are insulated with various materials, including PVC, rubber, or fiberglass. They are used for a variety of functions from controlling remote devices to transmitting data to connecting alarm system components.

The manufacturing process of an Extra Low Voltage cable is divided into 7 stages: drawing copper, annealing copper, bunching copper, extruding insulation, cabling, braiding shield and extruding sheath.

Step1: Drawing Copper

To draw 3mm rod of oxygen free copper to different diameters.

Step2: Annealing Copper

To heat copper wires to required temperature and keep for a certain time, then cool down.

Step3: Bunching Copper

To twist several copper wires together to form one complete conductor core.

Step4: Extruding Insulation

To make insulation core by melting and extruding plastic to cover copper conductor evenly.

Step5: Cabling

To twist insulation cores together according to relevant standard and fill to round shape wrapped with tape.

Step6: Braiding Shield

To interlace bunched copper wires and cover the cable core to form a shield layer.

Step7: Extruding Sheath

To make cable sheath by melting and extruding plastic to cover the cabled core and print on its surface.

In the past 32 years, AipuWaton’s cables are used to smart building solutions. The new Fu Yang factory started to manufacture at 2023. Will take video and update according this next month.
